Budapest is easily accessible by air, train, coach and car.

By air
Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) is the main international airport serving Budapest. It is located approximately 20 kilometres from the city centre.
Public transport from the airport
- 100E Airport Express: provides a direct connection between Terminal 2 and Budapest city centre. Please note that a special airport shuttlebus ticket is required.
- 200E bus: connects Terminal 2 with Kőbánya-Kispest metro station. From there, the city centre can be reached by metro line M3 during its operating hours.
Airport shuttle and taxi
Door-to-door airport shuttle services and official taxis are also available at the airport. Advance booking is recommended for shuttle services.

By train
Budapest has direct international railway connections with several major European cities. International trains arrive mainly at Keleti, Nyugati and Kelenföld railway stations. All three stations are connected to Budapest’s public transport network.

By coach
Budapest is served by several international coach services. Many international coaches arrive at Népliget or Kelenföld bus station. Both terminals are connected to the city’s public transport network.

By car
Budapest can be reached via Hungary’s motorway network. Motorway tolls apply on most Hungarian motorways, and an electronic motorway vignette is required.
No dedicated parking is available at the conference venue. Parking is available only on the surrounding streets and is subject to payment. Participants are therefore strongly encouraged to use public transport when travelling to the venue.

The conference venue is situated on the Pest side of Budapest, close to the Danube and the Müpa Budapest cultural complex.
The following public transport stops currently provide convenient access to the venue:
- Müpa – Nemzeti Színház H – served by tram lines 2 and 23;
- Haller utca / Soroksári út – served by tram lines 2, 23 and 24;
- Közvágóhíd H – served by tram line 1 and other public transport services.

Public transport in Budapest
Budapest has an extensive public transport network consisting of metro lines, trams, buses, trolleybuses and suburban railway services. Most parts of the city can be reached quickly and conveniently by public transport.
Tickets and travel passes
Tickets and travel passes can be purchased through BudapestGO, from BKK ticket vending machines and at designated customer service centres. Please make sure that you purchase the correct ticket and follow the official validation instructions.
The 100E Airport Express requires a dedicated airport shuttlebus ticket and is not covered by most regular Budapest public transport tickets.
